As the festive season draws near the Nipissing Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) once again are gearing up for the Project Red Ribbon Campaign.
The Launch goes Tuesday November 3 at Memorial Gardens at 12 noon and everyone is invited to participate. Festivities will take place inside if facing severe weather issues.
“We will urge the public if they are going to drink - don't drive,” says chapter president Jackie McLeod.
“Also we want to remind people if they see an impaired driver they are to call 911. We can help the police this way and possibly save a life.”
The public can also show their support for the campaign November 20th during the MADD awareness night at the Nipissing Lakers Hockey home game at Memorial Gardens.
“Come get a Red Ribbon and cheer on the Lakers.”
