MADD Saint John

The Saint John & Area Chapter participates in various activities in the community to raise awareness about impaired driving.

These include:

Strides for Change - 5km walk/wheelchair event held every June

Project Red Ribbon - Tie One On For Safety - campaign for drivers to display a red ribbon on their vehicle in support of sober driving

Community Events - past community events have included Canada Day celebrations, the Festival of Trees, hockey games, crime prevention week and the Santa Claus parade

Multimedia presentations - presentations to local schools about the dangers of impaired driving

Training events, both national and regional

Working in partnership with TADD to create R.I.D.E. - (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) checkpoints during the holiday seasons  

Our Chapter also participates in victim services;including victim services volunteering training, victim support, and the national vigil. Soon we will also be participating in court services.
