Charles Leonard Duguay   Home City: Sault Ste. Marie Date of Crash: August 30, 1985 Charles was riding his motorcycle to work in '85 when the crash occurred. After a three-month stay in hospital and many surgeries his left leg was amputated below the knee. He was transfused with Hepatitis C-infected blood, which caused a subsequent liver transplant in 1997. The Hepatitis C has re-infected the transplanted liver. He is now living each day to the fullest. He is a victim impact speaker for MADD Canada and a National Director with the Hepatitis C Society of Canada. Read Memorial Message

Charles was a husband, father, hunter, fisherman, hockey coach and all around sports enthusiasts and bread-winner. He has become a political activist and volunteer, who can no longer work as an electrician (construction and maintenance). He would like to remind everyone that the implications of drinking and driving last far beyond the date of the crash. Drink if you wish...but please don't drive!
